Lucy's Big Girl Bed

Yesterday, we finally set up Lucy's "transitional" bed - just the side taken off of her crib. We don't have the energy right now to set up a real big bed since we will also be moving her into the other bedroom. We're going to wait until after the holidays to tackle that project. Here's a some pics of Lucy "helping" daddy put her bed together and testing it out.

We made it through last night okay, Lucy just woke up once around 4 and when I went in there she was sitting in the middle of her room. Not sure if she fell out or crawled out but she got back into bed pretty quickly. Hoping the transition will be pretty smooth.

Sleepless in Seattle

Well, this week has been a little hectic. Lucy climbed out of her crib for the first time last Monday. She seems to understand that wasn't such a good idea and she hasn't done it again. However, the transition to the big bed is coming shortly. Also, I think she had a night terror on Saturday night and we were up for 2 hours before she finally went back to sleep. After a busy calendar this weekend, we all need a couple nights of good sleep. Hoping to get it tonight...

12 week dr's appt

Well, uneventful doctor's appointment. All is well, heard the heartbeat. And the good news is I'm 4 pounds under my weight at this point last time - considering how much food I've been consuming that's a miracle!

A Visit from Opa

We had a very action packed weekend with Roger in town. We hit the Children's Museum, Pacific Science Center, & Museum of Flight. Lucy was wiped out! Although, apparently not wiped out enough to take a nap today - she's in her crib talking to her stuffed animals right now... Ryan is off to Vegas tonight, so it's just me and Lucy for the next 3 days. The plan is to take it easy. I have my next doctor's appointment on Wednesday and will report back with any news.
