Naked Gardening

Well, if you haven't heard, the hot new pasttime for Spring 09 is vegetable gardening. We are continuing our usual herb garden and tomatoes but have added peppers and sunflowers which Lucy and I planted together. Also, we are going to try a butterfly garden, but we haven't gotten to that quite yet.

Ryan's been working hard on the backyard, leaving a nice pile of dirt for Lucy to play in. Today, she spent a good long time playing with her water table and the mud she created.

Fashionista

Well, as I've posted before, Lucy is absolutely in charge of her wardrobe. In fact, today alone, we've gone through three costume changes. Most of the time she insists on wearing a dress. Other times it's all one color - pink, yellow, brown, blue.

This week she got new flip flops which are her footwear of choice now. Yesterday, she wanted to go to the daycare at the gym, for one reason alone - "show everybody my new flip flops." Which she properly modeled for everyone.

Easter in the Northwest

True to form, Easter brought torrential rain, making the Easter egg hunt a little soggy. Luckily we were prepared and brought the rain boots.

Pee Wee Picasso

Here's a few pics from Lucy's latest art class. As well as a smiley face that she drew today - she's advanced to drawing "eyeballs."

My Little Marathoner

Lucy decided she needed to go for a run today. Needless to say, she had to pick out the perfect running outfit, and you can see what she came up with. She got her fashion sense from her father.

Toddler Carnival

Today, we ventured out in the rain to our Toddler Group's annual carnival. Lucy's BFFs, CJ and Alexcia, joined us. They had a blast!
